The Program Analyst V is responsible for improving projects, programs and processes by analyzing data, identifying issues and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Develops processes and tolls to assist with analytics. Collects data, conducts research, and assists with preparation of project status analysis and reporting. May be asked to present to the project/program lead. May help coordinate efforts to optimize cross-project resources. Plays a key role in strategic decision making.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Must possess appropriate level of certifications as required.
Experience as a program analyst with DHS/CBP is preferred.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Tracks program/project performance and progress, ensuring objectives are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and delivered within scope, on time, and within the established budget.
Prepares and delivers regular reports on project/program status, risks, and challenges to senior management.
Collects, analyzes, and interprets complex data to provide insights and support decision-making processes. Develops or identifies the necessary tools to assist with data analytics.
Develops and refines workflows and procedures to improve efficiency of the projects/programs.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with program goals. Also collaborates to implement any changes.
Facilitates communication between departments to ensure seamless project/program execution.
Develops tools and processes that assist in budget planning and resource allocation, ensuring resources are used effectively.
Develops and implements mechanisms to help maintain accurate records, documents, and reports related to project/program activities.
Oversees project plans, timelines, and documentation. Develops and enforces control processes. Recommends process improvements when necessary. Ensures all changes and outcomes are well documented.
Provides support to project or program managers in managing schedules, resources, and deliverables.
Stays updated on industry best practices.
Provides guidance and mentorship to junior personnel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten plus (10+) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
